Daimler Trucks Adelaide has seen many exciting and very positive changes over the last 6 months or so and for this reason, I thought it was timely to provide you with an update on what’s new at DTA as we have not been in contact for a while.
Firstly may I introduce, or in many cases reintroduce myself to you if we have not yet had the opportunity to meet in person. My name is Steven Smith and I am the General Manager for Daimler Trucks Adelaide, Mt Gambier, and Mildura.
After a 7 year term in Melbourne and after being abused constantly for being a diehard Crows supporter over there I decided to return to Adelaide and DTA in August 2017. Previous to that I was the Dealer Principal for Mercedes-Benz Commercial Vehicles at Angle Park between 2005 and 2010. I was very happy to return back to Adelaide for both family and business reasons and especially to re-establish many close industry friendships I had made over the years.
2018 and Beyond
This year we have seen many familiar customers faces coming back to our business along with lots of new customers which has been most appreciated. I believe this has occurred because we have been busy reassessing our priorities, customer focus, service levels, resources and business structure. It also helps when we have an amazing range of class-leading products with our Mercedes-Benz, Freightliner and Fuso Trucks and of course the bestselling Mercedes-Benz Vito, Valente and Sprinter Vans. Add to this the most competitive vehicle Finance packaging available from Daimler Finance and a great team of employees with a vast wealth of knowledge, we really do believe we have everything that is needed to meet all of your new and used vehicle requirements.
Mercedes-Benz Van Centre Northside
It also gives me great pleasure in officially announcing our newest addition to the DTA family – Mercedes-Benz Van Centre, Northside. For the last 5 months, our construction team has been tirelessly refurbishing our new Mercedes-Benz Van and X Class Ute dealership located at 609 South Road, Regency Park. We are very excited to take our existing Van business to a new greater visibility site and at the same time, we will add the much anticipated New Mercedes-Benz X Class ute to our suite of quality vehicles now available from DTA and MBVC Northside.
The Dealership opened on Monday 2nd July - we look forward to welcoming you to our new facility and providing you with the opportunity to view and test drive the Mercedes-Benz X Class.
We have also recently commenced our very important journey in becoming a Daimler accredited Elite Support dealership. This is a Daimler global continuous improvement program providing greater customer focus and improving our efficiencies, processes and business structures to ensure that our customers are receiving world-class service levels. We expect to have this completed by mid to late 2019 and would, of course, welcome and appreciate your ongoing feedback as we strive to implement this initiative for you our valued customers.
So in conclusion, it also remains a very exciting time for the remainder of 2018 with the upcoming release of the new range of Mercedes-Benz Sprinter Vans later this year and we will also see the release of the new V6 X Class Ute soon after that.
